The Chinese National a modern Cantonese cuisine restaurant located on the 7th floor of Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue.

This Cantonese concept adds value to the culinary experience for gourmets by showcasing a variety of Cantonese dishes with selected Cantonese cuisine methods and fresh ingredients.

Reflecting the menu’s sleek presentation, is the restaurant’s equally polished interior design. Bringing elements of the four inventions of China into the décor and the overall concept, The Chinese National combines contemporary lines with tasteful touches of Chinese heritage, made to life by EDG Design, a Singapore-based design forward firm.

Featuring four dining venues, The Chinese National is altogether a social space; a modern incarnation of the traditional Chinese tea house and bar, Letterpress speakeasy bar. The restaurant’s design lends itself to the authenticity. Some signature menu items that can be found on the menu include Roasted Duck, Wok-fried Scallop with Black Truffle Sauce, Hong Kong Noodles and Ham and Braised Abalone Siew Mai. The Chinese National is helmed by the master Executive Chinese Chef Kong Fook Sin and his four resident Specialty chefs.

Also available, All You Can Eat Chinese Buffet comes with more than 50 dishes to choose, from the best Chinese feast such as dim sum, lamian pulled noodle, abalone and seafood enlivened with live cooking from in-house chefs. Dinner menu also provides the best selections of modern Cantonese cuisines that are creatively crafted by the talented in-house Chefs.

Chef Kong Fook Sin, Chinese Executive Chef of The Chinese National says “As an authentic Cantonese Chef, it’s my duty to deliver the Cantonese original flavor. My aim is to bring out and highlight the original flavors of the vegetables, meats, or fruits. Bringing the best food to the table is what I am pleased to do at The Chinese National.”

The multi-purpose restaurant space offers private rooms catering for business lunches and dinners, alongside a speakeasy Letterpress Bar with separate entrance serving up a refreshing take on Chinese-inspired mixology, perfect to get-together and celebratory occasions.
